Your Family Peer Advocate will connect you to the services you need.
A Family Peer Advocate (FPA) is a parent or caregiver who has faced challenges within their family-like you are, now — and has experience navigating services and supports in Westchester County, NY.
FPAs are trained and credentialed by New York State to help families like yours and can meet with you at one of our resource centers, virtually, or at a convenient location of your choosing.
What does a Family Peer Advocate do?
- An FPAs first job is to listen and understand. If your family is facing multiple challenges, our FPAs can provide non-judgmental support to help you handle it all.
- FPAs help you advocate for your family, offering the information and tools needed to make meaningful decisions about your family’s well-being.
- FPAs respect your goals and decisions. We don’t tell you what to do – we offer suggestions and work at your pace.

Connections to Local Resources
Your FPA can help uncover essential resources available to support you, and find the best solution for your family’s unique needs.
Support Groups
Our groups offer a welcoming space to meet other caregivers facing similar challenges, and build a community of support to accompany you on your parenting journey.
