Parenting is the most challenging job you will ever have,
and it doesn’t come with any training!

While we don’t have all of the answers, Family Ties of Westchester, Inc. offers Parent Skills Coaching that focuses on improving family wellbeing. We do this by providing you with an understanding of trauma and resilience, and how both can impact your parenting. Additionally, we explore parenting skills that develop effective discipline strategies, foster better family communication, and increase parental self-esteem.

STEP 1 – ATTEND AN ORIENTATION

During the orientation, you will learn about Family Ties, what makes our organization different, why we look at parenting through a lens of trauma and resilience, and explore the options we offer for completing Parent Skills Coaching. To attend an orientation, please complete a referral. We have a form for providers and for those who are self-referring. After you have attended the orientation, you will have the opportunity to choose the type of class that works best for you and your family.
